PEDCO possesses significant experience in the engineering, design, application, analysis, and operation of gas dryers.  This experience includes a broad range of flow rates, temperatures, operating pressures, gas types, and dew point requirements.  Dryer types include refrigerated, adsorptive desiccant (heated and pressure swing), absorptive desiccant (solid and liquid absorbents), and membranes.

Often for large air systems it is advantageous to combine more than one drying technology to optimize performance and minimize operating cost.  Such is the case with the dryer at Arnold Air Force Base shown below.  Refrigeration is used to remove the majority of the water while adsorption is used to achieve the required dew point.  Combining these two technologies reduced both capital and operating costs for the same performance.

PEDCO has completed dryer projects ranging from 0.5 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) to 1,000,000 scfm.  Energy management control systems have been developed by PEDCO personnel.  Photos of equipment from a range of dryer projects are shown in the gallery.
