DR. JAMES B. BLACK

Dr. Black is the owner and principal of PEDCO. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has 25 years of experience working for manufacturing, research, utility, government, and academic organizations.

Dr. Black’s area of technical expertise is thermal-fluid science, specializing in combining theory and practical experience to design and develop industrial equipment and processes. He has extensive experience in the design and analysis of heat exchangers and gas dryers.  He has been awarded several patents and published numerous technical papers.

His career includes 15 years with department or project management responsibility.  He is a registered Professional Engineer and EPA certified refrigeration technician. Following is a sampling of specific technical subjects with which Dr. Black has extensive experience.
