| Application of PEDCO'S expertise can take many forms for the client.
Some examples include; PRODUCT, PROCESS, OR SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
PEDCO's Development
Process is applied when a client desires a new or modified product, process,
or system. The complete development process begins with Project Definition
and ends with Post Development Support. The development process is customized
based on client needs, client competitive position, project complexity,
product/process maturity, time allocation, etc.
CUSTOM COMPUTER SIMULATION DEVELOPMENT
Product development and application engineering typically benefits
from utilization of a computer model. The computer model enables quick and
inexpensive evaluations of options and enables efficient and thorough process
optimization. Often commercially available simulation software is
available such as PEDCO's Adsorptive Gas-Dryer
Simulation Software. Other times a custom simulation must be developed. PEDCO prepares these simulations using Excel, Excel with Visual Basic
Applications, or Visual Basic depending on the complexity of the project.
DESIGN REVIEW
As the client's representative, PEDCO can provide process and controls design
review services for projects conducted by an Engineering and Construction firm.
STUDIES
Conduct preliminary technical and economic studies and prepare
budgets for proposed
projects to provide a client with recommendations and decision making data to
determine if a project should be executed.
PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMIC EVALUATION
Analyze an existing product, process, or system to determine if
performance and operating economics (maintenance, operating, and consumables
costs) are as expected and identify modifications for improvement.
PERFORMANCE/VALIDATION TESTING
As the client's representative, develop test plans and conduct test
programs to verify performance of equipment provided by a third party.
SENSITIVITY AND OPTIMIZATION ANALYSIS
Conduct sensitivity analyses to determine impact of variations in
operating conditions and changes in physical parameters on performance and economics and to optimize
the process.
PRODUCT, PROCESS, OR SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshoot process equipment to resolve operational and performance
deficiencies.
